The president had his game face on (finally) today, and he sounded more like the progressive democrat I (then a republican) I voted for.
The President has his work cut out for him tonight. The American people are sick and tired of our extended involvement in wars that they can't rationalize. With 24/7 cable news, we've been watching our troops fight and die in the Middle East in two countries for almost 10 years.
If you're a senior and retired on a fixed income, you've probably noticed that the government has increased its withholding on your pension so while the millionaires got their tax breaks... the fixed income retirees now have to cough up more of their money.
I've noted before, that as a US Army veteran and a retired senior... and I hate the concept of war. Yes, there were wars that needed to be fought, and usually those are wars involving invasion of a sovereign country or possibly genocide.
